What is a Cell phone jammer?

A device which is used to hamper the signals of a cell phone is known to be a cell hone jammer. This is a kind of device which uses the same frequencies which is used by the cell phone. By transmitting the same signals, the working of the cell phone is stopped.

The cell phone uses 2 frequencies, one for talking and the other for listening. When the frequency of ether of them is blocked, it is equivalent to blocking both. These devices come in different levels of complexes. While the level of complexity is less, it is enabled to block only one group of signals at a given point in time. However, a device which is of higher complexity can block numerous groups of signals.  These devices can eve be specified to block only a particular group of signals.
When you intend to jam a cell phone, you can use a device which emits the right kind of frequencies. Though the signals for cell phones are sent by different tower bases, the kind of signals which each emits is alike (signals which are used for radios).

The cell phone jammer also has certain hindrances which can block its signal’s power. These can be in the form of building walls, or natural obstacles like hills and mountains.
