Cell phone jammers for you

In many countries like the US, Australia and UK, the use of cell phone jammers is considered to be illegal.

In the United States, the Communications Act of 1934 prohibits the blocking of cell phones. According to the act, no individual can willfully or maliciously interfere with the radio signals of any licensed station which is authorized. The advertising and promotion of these cell phone jammers is also prohibited.

In these countries, jamming is considered to be a thieving of property. This is due to the fact that the service providing company has purchased the rights of sending these signals and hence jamming them can be legally questioned. The company can file a legal suit against the jammer of cell phone signals. These cases can be filed with the ‘Federal Communications Commission’ but there is no record of any legal action taken against cell phone jammers. Fines can be levied on such offenders.

In a few countries, the general public cannot jam cell phone signals however complete right is given to corporate sectors and government committees to use this device. The jamming of cell phones in theatres is legalized to protect the interests of the public.  In India, these jammers are used in the Parliamentary sessions.
